To prep for Applying our patented Nano-Coating, you must thoroughly wash, decontaminate (using an iron remover and clay bar), polish to remove paint imperfections, and finally degrease the surface with an IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) solution to ensure a strong bond. This multi-step process removes all surface contaminants and locks in a flawlessly smooth finish, as the coating will seal in any existing imperfections.

1. Wash Your Car

Use a strip wash:

Start with a quality car soap designed to strip away old waxes, sealants, and glazes, ensuring a clean, bare surface.

Pre-wash:

Use a foam cannon to apply snow foam, which breaks down and lifts loose dirt to prevent scratches during the contact wash.

Contact wash:

Wash the car by hand or with a pressure washer, using a pH-neutral or strip wash.

2. Decontaminate the Paint

Chemical Decontamination:

Apply an iron remover to lift embedded metallic particles like brake dust and road grime from the paint.

Clay Bar:

Use a clay bar with a lubricant to physically remove any microscopic contaminants that the wash missed, like tree sap or embedded dirt.

3. Polish the Paint (Paint Correction)

Assess paint condition:

Polish to remove swirl marks, light scratches, and other surface imperfections.

Why it's crucial:

A coating will seal in anything on the surface, so it's essential to correct imperfections first. This step is optional but highly recommended, especially for used cars.

4. Degrease the Surface

Apply an IPA solution:

After polishing, wipe the entire car down with an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and water solution to remove any polishing oils or remaining residue. This creates an absolutely bare and clean surface for the coating to bond to.

5. Apply the Coating

Read the manufacturer's instructions:

This is a critical final step, as flash times and application methods vary by product.

Key Considerations

Work in a controlled environment:

Perform the entire process in a clean, controlled environment, such as a garage, to prevent dust and debris from contaminating the surface.

Use clean microfiber towels:

Always use clean microfiber towels to avoid reintroducing scratches or contaminants.

Don't skip steps:

Each step is vital for ensuring a strong, long-lasting bond between the coating and your car's paint.
